As an equal opportunity employer, we are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive workplace where people are encouraged to come as they are and do their best work. What We Need The Senior Data Scientist (P5) is a senior individual contributor who turns ambiguous business problems from marketing, product, and commercial teams into models and experiments the business can trust and act on. The role owns the data science systems behind that work — keeping models reliable in production and experiments methodologically sound — and serves as the technical lead on the highest-stakes projects. The Senior Data Scientist works with significant independence while partnering closely with senior stakeholders. What You’ll Do - Technical Architecture & System Ownership: Own the design, reliability, and long-term availability of end-to-end Data Science systems, accounting for performance and technical bottlenecks in production-grade predictive models and AI solutions. - Experimental Frameworks: Architect rigorous experimental systems across cross-functional teams, ensuring validation methods are standardized, repeatable, and scalable. - Business Insight & Problem Definition: Partner closely with marketing, product, and commercial teams to diagnose business challenges — spanning areas such as gamer engagement, marketing efficiency measurement, and regional strategy — and define appropriate metrics, analyses, and interpretations to drive strategic decisions. - Statistical & Predictive Modeling: Define requirements for and lead the creation, monitoring, and iterative improvement of key statistical models and AI solutions used for marketing spend optimization, product growth, and player engagement. - Executive Communication & Narrative: Design clear, unambiguous narratives and visualizations to communicate complex data initiatives to broad, non-technical audiences up to the executive level. - Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with peers across the broader data and analytics organization toward shared goals — aligning on data sources, standards, and priorities early, and sharing knowledge so the whole team's work compounds rather than duplicates. - Technical Consultation: Reason effectively about the strengths and weaknesses of different modeling approaches, selecting and iterating on combinations that suit specific business contexts. Core Competencies - Behavioral: Solution-oriented, creative problem solver, and self-starter; proactively identifies potential issues; builds compelling narratives from raw data; collaborative and genuinely invested in the work of cross-functional partners. - Functional / Technical: Advanced R or Python programming ability for sophisticated multi-dimensional data sets; advanced SQL “data carpentry” skills across modern data warehouse environments; able to independently implement advanced predictive models. - Strategic Influence: Strong understanding of the business and the context surrounding business asks; ability to bridge technical and business needs and influence product, marketing, and commercial strategy through data-backed evidence at all levels of the organization. Required Qualifications, Knowledge, and Job-Related Skills - Education: BSc, MSc, or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or another quantitative field. - Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in data science or machine learning, building models with complex datasets, with a consistent track record of business impact. - Data Systems: Proven experience in relational databases and SQL; ability to work independently within a data warehouse environment. - Methodological Depth: Cognizant of the pros and cons of common methodologies; demonstrated ability to apply various modeling approaches and iterate based on performance. - Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration and presenting to senior stakeholders. What Will Make You A Great Fit - Experience in the game-related tech industry (e.g., FAANG, other game companies, etc.). - Experience with Bayesian modeling and causal inference tools such as RStan and CausalImpact, or their Python equivalents. This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee. AI Product Manager, Growth Marketing
Who We Are Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together . We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion. Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work. About the Role: Truly unique opportunity to shape and scale self-optimizing paid marketing systems for Growth. This role exists to turn our performance marketing experimentation program from a prototype into the operating system. The opportunity calls for deep paid-growth expertise and a strong grasp of how channel mechanics, audiences, creative, measurement, experimentation, and automation fit together. You’ll set the strategy and operating model, and guide the agentic infrastructure that brings it to life. You’ll partner with BizOps, Strat Fin, Growth, Ecosystems, and Marketing across Meta, LinkedIn, Google, and ChatGPT, interpreting always-on geo, cohort, creative, and spend signals in context. This role can be based in either San Francisco or New York City. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days. What You'll Achieve: - By day 90: - Map how geo, audience, creative, spend, measurement, experimentation, and platform constraints interact; establish an operating model that turns those signals into hypotheses, tests, and clear kill/scale decisions, with agents supporting execution. - Build a deep understanding of onboarding and activation, and how paid acquisition connects to downstream user quality; partner with Growth PM and Ecosystems PM on meaningful improvements. - Establish how AI and agents can strengthen the end-to-end decision system—from analysis and hypothesis generation to creative and audience development, experiment QA, and reusable workflows—improving decision quality, not only execution speed. - By the end of year one: - Graduate the program from managing the experimental budget to managing the majority of paid spend, while maintaining efficiency and Notion’s quality bar for ad creative. - Establish stronger measurement and a clear, connected view of which experiments move which metrics, why they work, and how results vary by user cohort; use that understanding to shape more personalized experiences. - Turn the system into a repeatable model for Demand Generation, raising the standard for experimentation, measurement, and agentic marketing infrastructure across the organization. Skills You'll Need to Bring: - Strong systems fluency across APIs, automation pipelines, and agentic systems. You can see how platform integrations, data, measurement, workflows, and constraints fit together; shape sound architecture and tradeoffs; and partner credibly with technical teams to make the system reliable. - Deep paid-growth subject matter expertise across platforms such as Meta, LinkedIn, and Google. You understand how channel mechanics, budgets, audiences, creative, and performance interact, and can connect those dynamics to real marketing outcomes. - Expert measurement and performance-analysis judgment: you can interpret geo, cohort, creative, and spend signals in context, identify meaningful patterns, understand what is driving them, and make clear kill/scale decisions. - Strong product and systems judgment across technical and marketing domains, with the ability to connect the parts into a coherent strategy and translate an ambiguous frontier into a system with a high quality bar. - High-agency cross-functional ownership: you can work across BizOps, Strat Fin, Growth, Ecosystems, and Marketing to align decisions and deliver the full loop from strategy through operating model and infrastructure to outcomes. Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated base salary range for this role is $191,000 - $225,000 per year. By clicking “Submit Application”, I understand and agree that Notion and its affiliates and subsidiaries will collect and process my information in accordance with Notion’s Global Recruiting Privacy Policy and NYLL 144 . LI-Onsite A Note on AI You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on. Equal Opportunity & Accommodations We hire talented people from a wide range of backgrounds. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every bullet, we still encourage you to apply. Notion is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected characteristic. ANALYTICS What We Do Our Data & Analytics teams build powerful stories and visuals that inform the games we make, the technology we develop, and business decisions that drive Epic. What You'll Do You will design, build, and optimize the recommendation systems that power Fortnite's Discover experience, serving personalized recommendations to one of the largest player bases in gaming across a massive catalog of creator-built experiences. You'll work across the full recommendation stack: candidate generation, content ranking, impression allocation, and real-time reranking. Unlike recommendation systems that operate over a stable catalog, you're working with a massive, rapidly changing content library where new experiences are published daily, quality signals are sparse, and the system's own outputs shape the data it learns from. In this role, you will - Design and implement retrieval, ranking, and reranking models for creator content using deep learning approaches (two-tower architectures, transformer-based sequence models, embedding-based retrieval) and build the user representation systems that power personalized discovery - Build and optimize multi-stage candidate generation and impression allocation pipelines that balance relevance, diversity, and fair content exposure across a large and rapidly evolving catalog - Design and run A/B experiments to validate model improvements, own evaluation frameworks that capture recommendation quality holistically, and drive the path from experiment to production deployment - Collaborate with analytics and content quality teams on ranking signals including genre classification, creator credibility, and content quality metrics - Own ML infrastructure decisions: choosing the right tradeoffs between batch, near-real-time, and streaming serving architectures What we're looking for - 5+ years of experience building production recommendation or ranking systems, ideally in a UGC, marketplace, or content discovery context - Experience with deep learning for information retrieval and multi-stage recommendation pipelines (candidate generation, scoring, reranking) - Demonstrated ability to design and analyze A/B experiments, with awareness of biases inherent to recommendation systems - Strong Python engineering skills with experience in PyTorch and large-scale data processing frameworks (Spark preferred) - Comfort working in a cloud-based ML environment - Experience with explore/exploit strategies, content cold-start, or counterfactual evaluation methods applied to recommendation - Experience with content understanding models (NLP, vision, or generative AI) used as ranking features - Familiarity with creator economy dynamics and how recommendation design affects content quality and creator incentives - Experience with our stack: PyTorch (TorchRec, Transformers), Ray, Databricks, AWS - Passion for video games and/or experience with gaming analytics EPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFE Our intent is to cover all things that are medically necessary and improve the quality of life. Software Engineer (Golang), Serverless Containers
About Mistral Mistral provides full-stack AI solutions: from frontier models to developer tools, applications, and compute. We partner with enterprises tackling the hardest problems across high-stakes industries like finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector, co-creating customized AI systems that they can run on their terms. We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about AI and its potential to transform society. Our diverse workforce thrives in competitive environments and is committed to driving innovation. Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited. THE TEAM Mistral is building a sovereign AI cloud for Europe. Our customers in finance, healthcare, and the public sector run frontier models on European-jurisdiction infrastructure, and the Cloud Platform team builds the systems that make that possible — compute orchestration, Kubernetes, bare metal, storage, networking, and the datacenter fleet that runs it all. We run it all on our own metal, our own network, our own datacenters — which means when something breaks, the fix is ours to write. European Compute Units let enterprises commit to multi-year capacity on that infrastructure, and we are scaling toward a gigawatt of compute across Europe by 2030. You will design and ship the layer every sovereign AI deployment depends on. THE ROLE You will build our serverless containers product: the way developers run AI apps, MCP servers, APIs, and managed workers on our cloud without thinking about servers. Push a container, get an endpoint, scale from zero to thousands of instances and back down — across CPU and GPU. On a hyperscaler, the serverless layer is a product someone else built. Here you build it end to end: the scheduler that decides where a container lands, the routing path a request takes, the machinery that turns a scaled-to-zero service into a warm instance before a customer notices. All of it runs on metal, network, and datacenters we own. That tension is the product: scale-to-zero economics with cold starts in milliseconds, autoscaling that absorbs a launch spike without a config change, GPUs scheduled onto containers the way other platforms schedule CPU. The customers betting on this layer are the developers building the next generation of AI software on European infrastructure. WHAT YOU WILL DO - Build the container platform end to end: image delivery, placement, request routing, scale-up, scale-to-zero — across CPU and GPU. - Make cold starts a solved problem: snapshotting, prewarming, image-layer caching, whatever it takes for scale-from-zero to feel instant. - Treat AI workloads as the normal case: GPU-backed containers, streaming responses, long-lived connections, MCP servers that cost almost nothing while idle. - Write Go and own the architecture and the hardest implementation decisions. - Partner with Product Managers to turn platform decisions into a product developers want to deploy on. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - You have shipped production systems in Go. Not dabbled. Shipped. - You have built container or workload platforms — orchestration, scheduling, isolation, request routing — not just deployed onto someone else's serverless platform. - Deep Linux: namespaces, cgroups, image layers, page cache — comfortable well below the application layer. - Multi-tenancy instincts: density, isolation, and fairness when hundreds of customers share one fleet. - Significant experience building complex backend or infrastructure systems. - You have partnered with product, design, and business teams to ship software that reached real users. - A low-ego, team-first mindset. We care less about your exact domain and more about whether you are the kind of technical force other engineers want to work alongside. What We Offer We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being, growth, and work-life balance. Benefits vary by country and may include healthcare coverage, parental leave, retirement plans, relocation support, wellness programs, meal and transportation allowances, and other location-specific perks. European Compute Units let enterprises commit to multi-year capacity on that infrastructure, and we are scaling toward a gigawatt of compute across Europe by 2030. You will design and ship the layer every sovereign AI deployment depends on. THE ROLE A datacenter is not a cloud until software makes it one. You will build the software that turns arriving hardware into accepted clusters. Cabling validation, burn-in, firmware, deployment validation, software stack install — all of it automated, none of it click-ops. Your KPI is time to acceptance: the hours between a rack being physically installed and it serving customer workloads. Across the industry that number is measured in weeks. You will drive it toward days, then hours, as we scale toward a gigawatt of compute across Europe. This is a hands-on engineering role at the intersection of hardware and software. Most of your time in the code and the architecture, some of it on datacenter floors, because the automation has to survive contact with the machines it runs on. WHAT YOU WILL DO - Build the delivery pipeline in Go: provisioning, configuration, validation, burn-in, network bring-up, software stack install. - Own time-to-acceptance and drive it down relentlessly — measure it, break it down, kill the slowest step first. - Work shoulder-to-shoulder with Hardware Design and Fleet Health — reliability starts at delivery. - Handle GPU fleets at scale: H100 and GB200-class nodes, InfiniBand and RoCE fabrics, and the failure modes they bring. - Partner with Product Managers and the datacenter org to plan delivery waves against capacity commitments. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - You have automated bare-metal fleets — you have written the software that turns racks into clusters. If you have done it by hand, you resented it and scripted it. - Hardware fluency: servers, GPUs, NICs, switches, firmware — you can read a parts list and a topology diagram. - 5+ years building backend or infrastructure systems. - Deep Linux: you are comfortable well below the application layer. - You have shipped production systems in Go. Not dabbled. Shipped. - Willing to travel to datacenter sites when the work demands it. - A low-ego, team-first mindset. Software Engineer (Golang), Storage
THE ROLE You will build storage on our cloud. Block, filesystem, and object storage for training runs, sandboxed workloads, and general compute: you help decide what we build, what we buy, and how it adds up to storage our customers can bet a business on. Some layers we deploy and harden from best-in-class vendors. The ones that matter most we write ourselves in Go — S3-compatible object storage, tiering, backup and recovery, caching layers that put cold data on cheap spinning disks. Storage is a strategic bet for this org: the systems you build will define how a gigawatt of European compute stores its data. WHAT YOU WILL DO - Build the storage stack — block, file, object — for training, sandbox, and general compute workloads. - Design and write our own services in Go: S3-compatible APIs, tiering, backup and recovery, caching layers. - Own the data plane: allocation, duplication, tiering, backup and recovery. - Plan capacity across datacenters and across failure domains — petabytes, not terabytes. - Partner with Product Managers to shape the storage roadmap and make the technical and business tradeoffs. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - You have built storage systems — object, block, or distributed filesystems — not just operated them. You know what happens when a disk dies mid-write and when a rebalance collides with a backup window. - Deep distributed-systems fundamentals: durability, consistency, replication, erasure coding, failure domains. - You have shipped production systems in Go. Systems engineers coming from C++ or Rust who are ready to write Go daily should still talk to us. - You are comfortable with hardware reality: HDD, SSD, and NVMe tiers, and the economics of each. - 5+ years building backend or infrastructure systems. European Compute Units let enterprises commit to multi-year capacity on that infrastructure, and we are scaling toward a gigawatt of compute across Europe by 2030. You will design and ship the layer every sovereign AI deployment depends on. THE ROLE AI agents don't run in browsers. They run in sandboxes — and you will build ours. We build secure, isolated, network-controlled environments with snapshotting primitives, designed for AI agents and reinforcement-learning workloads. An RL training run doesn't need one environment; it needs thousands, created and destroyed every second. An agent needs to be sandboxed from the world while still feeling fast enough to be useful. That tension — airtight isolation, at fleet scale, at low latency — is the product. Your customers are the people building the next generation of AI software on our infrastructure; the primitives you ship become the runtime their agents live in. WHAT YOU WILL DO - Build the isolation layer: microVMs or containers, namespaces, cgroups, seccomp, snapshot and restore. - Own the security boundary. Customers run code they didn't write and can't fully trust — your systems make that safe. - Scale to fleets: creation latency, density, and lifecycle management for thousands of concurrent environments. - Write Go and own the architecture and the hardest implementation decisions. - Partner with Product Managers to turn frontier research needs into shippable primitives. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Deep Linux internals: namespaces, cgroups, seccomp, virtualization — ideally microVMs of the Firecracker class. - You have shipped production systems in Go. Not dabbled. Shipped. - You understand network isolation at the packet level — not just firewall rules. - Performance instincts: you know what a syscall costs, and you have the profiles to prove you've cared. - 5+ years building backend or infrastructure systems. European Compute Units let enterprises commit to multi-year capacity on that infrastructure, and we are scaling toward a gigawatt of compute across Europe by 2030. You will design and ship the layer every sovereign AI deployment depends on. THE ROLE You will build our Kubernetes product end to end: a metal-to-on-demand platform built on in-house infrastructure, with GPU support for training, inference, and general-purpose compute. Kubernetes is our product, not just our platform — we run it on infrastructure we own end to end. You will decide how the control plane scales, how GPUs get scheduled, and how quickly a rack of bare metal becomes an on-demand cluster a customer can use. The decisions you make here shape how our infrastructure scales from today's footprint to a gigawatt, and how we turn frontier AI research into production systems used by millions. WHAT YOU WILL DO - Design and ship the control plane. You own the architecture and the hardest implementation decisions — scheduling, operators, provisioning, node lifecycle. - Own the reliability of the Kubernetes control plane. It is the team's headline KPI. You make the calls when it breaks at 3am. - Shrink the distance from metal to on-demand. Provisioning a cluster should be minutes of automation, not weeks of tickets. - Partner with Product Managers to set priorities, scope initiatives, and make the technical and business tradeoffs. - Raise the engineering bar through code review and knowledge sharing across the Cloud Platform org. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - You have shipped production systems in Go. Not dabbled. Shipped. - You have run Kubernetes in anger — and ideally built parts of it: operators, schedulers, controllers. You understand what happens underneath it, and you have worked on Linux directly, not just on managed services that sit on top of it. - You have run GPU workloads on Kubernetes, or you are confident you can own that domain fast. - You think like a developer who happens to build infrastructure, not an operator who manages it. You write code other engineers depend on. - Extensive experience building backend or infrastructure systems. - You have partnered with product, design, and business teams to ship software that reached real users. - A low-ego, team-first mindset. Full-Stack Software Engineer, Experience
About Pinecone Pinecone is the leading vector database for building accurate and performant AI applications at scale in production. Pinecone's mission is to make AI knowledgeable. More than 9000 customers across various industries have shipped AI applications faster and more confidently with Pinecone's developer-friendly technology. Pinecone is based in New York and raised $138M in funding from Andreessen Horowitz, ICONIQ, Menlo Ventures, and Wing Venture Capital. About the Team and Role: Pinecone is looking for a full-stack engineer to bring a new level of visibility, control, and trust to our product experiences. From cost metrics and spend alerts to interactive usage dashboards, we’re looking for a product-focused engineer who will deliver transparent and accurate insights to our customers. As a member of the Experience Platform team, you’ll have direct ownership over the billing, management, and authentication interfaces that we need our customers to understand and trust. You understand the responsibility and care this type of work requires, while also moving quickly to match Pinecone’s rapid growth. You’ll do this by working closely with product, design, and other engineering teams to identify user and system needs and build the right thing, at the right abstraction level, at the right time. Responsibilities: - Shape our product experience. Influence the rollout of products, propose and build new features, and advocate for experiences that will build confidence with our customers. - Ship end-to-end experiences across API, SDK, and web. You'll own the full surface, from the HTTP layer to the UI, and you'll make calls across all of it. - Own integrations with billing systems and vendor APIs , designing for resiliency against outages, schema drift, and inconsistent data. - Create observable, auditable systems with monitoring, alerting, and verification mechanisms that give leadership and customers confidence in the numbers. - Bring AI-assisted development practices to the team — use the best tools available and help establish patterns that let a small team move at a pace that shouldn't be possible. - Partner with finance, product, and design to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, and push back when the abstraction level isn't right. Requirements: Engineers at Pinecone operate with high autonomy. You'll be an active partner in setting strategy on APIs, interfaces, observability, and our product experience — not just executing on a roadmap. We care more about how you think and how you work than whether your resume checks every box. In exchange, we’ll make sure you’re set up for success with mentorship and technical guidance. You should have: - At least 2 years of software engineering experience - A bias toward automation and leverage — you reach for systems and tooling before you reach for elbow grease - Hands-on experience shipping with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) as a genuine part of your workflow - Proven ability to design and deliver APIs for a rapidly scaling product surface - Proficiency building web interfaces with React or similar - Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) - Strong intuition for what makes APIs easy for both humans and agents to use correctly Bonus points for: - Experience at a SaaS company with usage-based or consumption pricing models - Experience building billing-specific features, such as usage dashboards or cost reporting - Strong familiarity with a compiled language like Rust, Go, or Java - Experience integrating with third-party financial APIs and building defensively against inconsistent or delayed data - Experience with queueing and streaming technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub Perks & Benefits: - Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, vision, and mental health resources - 401(k) Plan - Equity award - Flexible time off - Paid parental leave - WFH Equipment Stipend All qualified applicants will receive considerations for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, marital status, familial status, sexual orientation, pregnancy, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, veteran status, and any other legally protected status under federal, state, or local anti-discrimination laws.
Staff Software Engineer, Finance Engineering
About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role Every dollar Anthropic earns and every dollar it spends on compute has to reach the books correctly, and the volume grows with Claude usage. That data comes from across the company and from partners: usage and billing, compute, infrastructure assets, leases. Products and pricing models keep launching, and each one adds another path into the books. Our goal is a continuous close with zero material issues, with audit-grade controls. You’ll build the platform that gets us there: one front door for every finance event, an append-only ledger, and an accounting engine that posts each event exactly once. This is a distributed systems problem with an unusually high correctness bar. The system has to be right to the cent, replay cleanly and explain any number as of any date, at that volume. You will shape its architecture. Its users include Claude agents, which read and write through the same APIs and controls as people. You’ll work closely with SWEs in Billing, Compute and Infra on shared contracts and APIs, and with product owners, finance operations and internal audit to turn accounting and controls requirements into designs. You don’t need a finance background. If you have built backend systems where correctness matters, we will teach you the domain. Responsibilities - Design and build the front door into finance and its governed contracts: APIs for apps and agents, an event bus for systems that publish, adapters for vendor apps and reports, data-quality gates, and processing that posts every event exactly once, with replay and backfill - Drive the build of the accounting ledger and engine: an append-only ledger with idempotent posting, a rules framework that turns business events into journal entries, translation into the ERP, and period locks - Design and build the SDKs and frameworks that finance apps and agents build on - Build controls into the platform as code: immutable audit trail, maker-checker, scoped access and segregation of duties - Build and run the production services that other engineering teams call in real time, such as the tax and collections services in the billing flow, and own their reliability: uptime, latency, throughput and correctness targets agreed with those teams - Shape the platform’s technical direction: architecture, engineering standards and design reviews Minimum qualifications - Strong backend engineering in a statically typed language such as Go, Java or Rust, or Python at scale - Experience designing and running high-volume, event-driven systems (publish/subscribe, streaming) with idempotent processing, replay and backfill - Experience designing relational data models and writing SQL for complex, versioned data - Experience designing APIs, SDKs and service-to-service integrations used by other teams - Experience building systems with auditability, access control or compliance requirements - Experience turning requirements from non-engineering partners into technical designs - Strong written and verbal communication, including design docs Preferred qualifications - 10+ years of experience - Experience building developer platforms or paved paths - Experience with streaming systems such as Pub/Sub or Kafka - Experience building with LLMs and agents, including MCP - Built a ledger, sub-ledger, billing or payments system - Familiarity with accounting concepts: double-entry, journal entries - Familiarity with internal controls and audit concepts: audit trails, segregation of duties, change management - Exposure to ERP or financial systems, such as Workday Financials The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: $320,000 - $405,000 USD Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices. Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this. We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team. Your safety matters to us. Products and pricing models keep launching, and each one adds another path into the books. Our goal is a continuous close with zero material issues, with audit-grade controls. We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the engineers who build the platform that gets us there: one front door for every finance event, an append-only ledger, and an accounting engine that posts each event exactly once. You’ll hire and grow the team, and hold the bar for how the platform is built and run in production. Its users include Claude agents, which read and write through the same APIs and controls as people. You'll partner with engineering teams in Billing, Compute and Infra on shared contracts and APIs, and with product owners and finance operations, who set the priorities and define the needs. Audit Operations Lead
About the Role You will run the external audit calendar for our SOX 404 program as we scale toward an IPO. That means coordinating with our external auditors across the year, aligning testing windows with control owners, educating our control owners, and keeping requests and deliverables on schedule. You will also own SOX scoping and risk assessment cycles, deficiency tracking, and status reporting, and help roll out our GRC platform so the program runs from one system of record instead of spreadsheets. You will scale the program through AI-enabled workflows that reduce manual effort and speed up our SOX program. This role reports to the Head of Business Controls and works closely with everyone on the SOX and Internal Audit team. This is an individual contributor role for someone who keeps a complex program on schedule, writes clearly, and makes the program simpler each cycle. Key responsibilities - Own the annual SOX audit calendar, including interim and year-end testing windows, walkthrough schedules, and key deliverable dates agreed with external auditors. - Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for external auditor requests. Triage, route, and track each request to closure, including PBC (provided-by-client) lists and evidence deliveries. - Coordinate auditor walkthroughs and fieldwork with process owners, control owners, and the SOX Testing team, so each control owner is asked for the same evidence once. - Track auditor findings, management responses, and deficiency follow-ups, and report status to Internal Audit leadership. - Prepare control owners and process owners for auditor sessions, and get evidence delivered on time without direct authority over them. - Lead the annual SOX scoping and risk assessment, including quarterly refreshes, and support the annual Fraud Risk Assessment, so the program has appropriate scope and coverage under COSO. - Monitor BP and IT SOX testing and report status to leadership and share status with external auditors - Lead work with the business to improve control documentation, including education of templates and SOX guidance. - Find optimization and automation opportunities across the SOX lifecycle through the use of AI. - Support the rollout of the GRC tool for SOX, including control libraries, workflows, evidence requests, and testing templates. - Define the data and reporting requirements the platform must meet, and test that it produces what the program needs. - Run the quarterly sub-certification process and report results to leadership - Own SOX program status reporting: dashboards and metrics for leadership, audit calendar progress, and deficiency and remediation status. - Own status reporting for the full SOX lifecycle: scoping and risk assessment, testing, deficiencies and remediation, segregation of duties (SOD), SOC 1 report reviews, the fraud risk assessment, and audit calendar progress. Minimum qualifications - Big 4 audit firm experience on SOX 404 or ICFR engagements, including managing audit calendars, PBC requests, and fieldwork with external audit teams. - Experience working directly with external auditor teams on requests, testing schedules, and findings, from the company side. - Several years of hands-on SOX 404 experience, including scoping, risk assessment, control documentation, testing, and deficiency evaluation. - Working knowledge of the COSO framework, ICFR, and PCAOB standards. - Experience developing or maintaining Risk and Control Matrices and process documentation or flowcharts. - Experience implementing or administering a GRC systems - Experience reporting program status, metrics, and issues to senior leadership. - Ability to get control owners to deliver on time without authority over them. - Clear writing and calm coordination under deadline pressure. - A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications - In-house SOX experience at a pre-IPO or newly public company. - Experience running a fraud risk assessment. - CPA, CISA, or similar certification. - Comfort with SQL or data tools for reporting, and experience building lightweight automations, including with Claude. The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: $230,000 - $300,000 USD Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. Data Scientist, Marketing
SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today, SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of making life multiplanetary and expanding consciousness to the stars. SpaceXSI is building Super Intelligence to help humanity understand the universe. Our teams are building the full Super Intelligence stack: from our Colossus supercomputers, to Grok models, to our suite of applications, including Grok Bot, Grok Build, Grok Imagine, Grok Voice, and X. We're creating a powerful flywheel where more compute trains better models, better models power more useful products, and what we learn from people using those products shapes what we build next. About the role The Data team at SpaceXSI is a small team that works across the company to inform business and product decisions, and we’re hiring the first member of our team to focus fully on marketing. Performance Marketing at SpaceXSI drives scaled acquisition across 10+ channels for Grok, Grok Bot, and our full portfolio of AI products, across consumer, SMB, startup, and enterprise audiences. This role will sit in the central Data team and partner directly with Marketing leadership to own the measurement and analysis of performance marketing, growth marketing programs, and overall marketing measurement. You'll use your expertise to inform where the next dollar goes as we scale paid acquisition, while building the foundations of a world class marketing data team. Your job is to help us understand the impact of our activities and what we should do next. What you'll do - Build and own the measurement layer for performance marketing: economics and performance by channel, campaign, audience, geo, and creative, across both PLG and Sales-Led revenue lines - Design incrementality tests (geo, audience, and conversion lift) with channel owners, and use the results to move budget and calibrate attribution, not just to fill a slide - Stand up and maintain our media-mix model, and pair it with test results to answer the big allocation questions: which channels to scale, which to cut, and where we're hitting saturation - Own the quality of the predictive LTV signal we send to Meta, Google, and the other networks: validate it against realized revenue, catch drift and breakage early, and partner with Data and Engineering to improve it - Keep pipeline source and campaign attribution separate and clean, so self-reported source, promo codes, click-based attribution, and CRM pipeline each answer their own question without double counting revenue You may be a fit if - You have 7+ years of experience in marketing analytics, marketing science, or data science supporting paid acquisition - You have strong SQL and python skills and are comfortable building both data pipelines and predictive models - You've run hold-out or incrementality tests and worked with MMM and attribution models in production, and you know the limitations of each - You understand how ad platforms report, optimize, and ingest conversion signals, and you don't take platform-reported numbers at face value - You communicate clearly with channel managers, Finance, and leadership, and you're honest about what the data does and doesn't support - You're self-directed, comfortable owning ambiguous problems end to end

Product Manager (Technical), Product Support Exper...
About the role As a Product Manager, Technical, you will own and be responsible for building a world class support experience for Anthropic's customers and the Product Support team. You will partner with Product Support Operations, AI Support, Billing, Fraud, and Product Engineering teams to build the systems that decide how Anthropic's users get unblocked when something goes wrong, and how what they report turns into product fixes, in partnership with the product teams that own the experience. Claude will be the primary operator of that support experience. - Partner with Product Support Operations, AI Support, and product engineering teams to own the systems behind the support experience end to end: the path from a recurring support driver to a shipped product fix, the Claude-based AI support layer that handles most inbound volume, and the tooling that helps human agents resolve what’s left quickly and accurately. . - Your north star is fewer support cases per user, and whole categories of cases eliminated, even as the product grows. The best outcome is a case that never gets opened because the product problem behind it was found and fixed. Everything in the support experience is in scope. You decide where to start. - You'll define the end-to-end experience Claude delivers: diagnosing a billing failure, resolving it or escalating it, recognizing when the same failure is showing up across many customers, filing the bug with repro steps and a proposed fix, getting that to the engineering team that owns the driver, following up with the customer to confirm the issue was actually resolved, and confirming the category actually goes away once the fix ships. - You will define and own the strategy and roadmap for the support-to-product feedback loop, including the escalation paths for billing, fraud, and high-visibility cases, and the metrics that show whether contact rate is falling. Responsibilities - Deeply understand the needs of Product Support Operations, AI Support, Billing, Fraud, and the product engineering teams that own support drivers, from specialists handling enterprise escalations to engineers who need a support case turned into a reproducible bug they can fix. - Define and iterate on the support-to-product loop: how a case is classified, how recurring drivers are surfaced in near real time with case examples and recommended fixes, how each driver gets a named owner, and how we confirm the fix decreased case volume. Own the metrics behind it: inbound case volume by driver, drivers fixed at the root, and time from first case to shipped fix, alongside the response-time and CSAT targets Product Support Operations already runs on. - Own the customer's experience of getting unblocked: how quickly a user reaches a resolution and how little friction they hit on the way, whether Claude resolves the case or hands it to a specialist. - Minimize the blast radius of novel issues. New models and product changes will keep creating new drivers no one can predict; catch each one at its first reports, assess impact, and get the fix prioritized while the affected group is still small. - Partner with engineering and data science to build the systems that scale with Anthropic’s growth: Claude as the first responder, the data pipeline behind driver detection, and the tooling that lets Claude hand a diagnosed case to the right team. - Drive product strategy and roadmap for the in-house Claude support layer, including what Claude resolves on its own, what it escalates and to whom, and how far it goes toward filing and fixing the underlying product issue itself. - Own the trade-off framework between intake reduction, response time, cost, and quality, making transparent prioritization decisions about which drivers get fixed first and communicating them clearly to Product Support and senior leadership. - Build conviction about what support looks like when Claude is the primary operator, and translate that into a roadmap that gets Anthropic there ahead of the volume curve. You may be a good fit if you have - 7+ years of product management experience, with deep exposure to support systems, customer operations tooling, billing or payments, or internal platforms that serve operations teams - Experience taking technical platform products from infancy to scale: you've built something from the ground up and grown it to serve demanding internal or external engineering customers - Track record of building products that balance the needs of multiple personas, and of making prioritization trade-offs between them and communicating them clearly - Ability to internalize complex technical systems (case routing, billing and payments flows, LLM-based agents, data pipelines) and translate that understanding into a comprehensive product vision - Fluent across functions: you're equally credible reading a failed-payment trace with engineers, walking a specialist through why a driver got deprioritized, and explaining intake trends to leadership - A strong thesis on how AI changes support: you've thought deeply about what happens when the agent that answers the case can also diagnose, file, and fix what caused it, and you want to build that - Experience scaling an LLM-based product or experience from prototype to real volume, and a clear view of what breaks on the way: quality drift, cost, latency, and user trust - Scrappy and resourceful: you do what it takes to get things done in a fast-moving environment Strong candidates may have: - Built or scaled the systems behind a high-volume support operation for consumer or developer products: case data pipelines, driver analytics, or LLM-based support agents. - Shipped an LLM-based support or operations agent in production and understand the trust, escalation, and quality-measurement problems that come with it. - Defined and operationalized contact-rate or case-deflection metrics, and a point of view on how those metrics change when the fix ships in the product instead of the help center. - Scaled through hypergrowth in support-heavy environments (consumer subscriptions, developer platforms, or fintech). - Experience getting product and engineering teams to own support drivers, with proven evidence of driving ownership through clear evidence and product quality. Sr/Staff Product Manager, Research Products
We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science. We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world. World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached. Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you. * Open to hiring remote across the US — we also have offices in NYC, San Francisco, and Seattle This is a rare PM role with true vertical ownership across the full product lifecycle, from early-stage research and pre-training through post-training, UX buildout, GTM strategy, and pricing. You’ll be the bridge between our users and our internal teams, so we ship our models and products with the most value for Runway’s creators. This role is a fundamental and critical part of the team at a market-defining company in its early stages. What you’ll do - Own the product strategy and roadmap for your area, from early model development through launch, pricing, and go-to-market - Partner with research to shape what gets built, translating customer needs and model capabilities into clear product requirements and priorities - Work closely with engineering and design to ship new products and continuously improve existing ones, making sound technical tradeoffs along the way - Define and analyze product metrics, run A/B tests, and use data (including your own SQL and Python analysis) to validate pain points and prioritize features - Talk with users weekly to uncover use cases and turn feedback into product decisions - Drive pricing and GTM strategy in partnership with business teams What you’ll need - 4+ years of product management experience, including taking products from zero to one - A strong technical foundation, typically demonstrated by things like the following: - A degree in a technical or quantitative field such as computer science, HCI, math, statistics, or physics - Professional experience writing code before the LLM codegen era (e.g., as a software engineer, data scientist, data analyst, or technical founder who built and bootstrapped a product) - Hands-on fluency with SQL, Python, AI code generation tools, and version control best practices - Working knowledge of current ML capabilities and products, and the ability to discuss tradeoffs with researchers and engineers - Experience in fast-moving teams, with comfort operating amid ambiguity - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Nice to have - Experience with generative AI, creative tools, or media products - Experience owning pricing or GTM for a product Runway strives to recruit and retain exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity for our team. Our salary ranges are based on competitive market rates for our size, stage and industry, and salary is just one part of the overall compensation package we provide. There are many factors that go into salary determinations, including relevant experience, skill level and qualifications assessed during the interview process, and maintaining internal equity with peers on the team. Your work will change lives. Including your own. The Impact You’ll Make: Human biology stems from four billion years of evolution, which creates a proliferation of complexity and heterogeneity. The combinatorial explosion of biological hypotheses easily surpasses the number of atoms in the universe. Meanwhile, medical discovery advances at the snail pace of clinical trials, each taking years and costing over $100 million. As we enter the era of precision health and try to tailor treatments for each individual, continuing on today's discovery processes is clearly unsustainable. Caring means holding a deep sense of responsibility and respect - showing up, speaking honestly, and taking action. - We learn actively and adapt rapidly. Progress comes from doing. We experiment, test, and refine, embracing iteration over perfection. - We move with urgency because patients are waiting. Speed isn’t about rushing but about moving the needle every day. - We take ownership and accountability. Through ownership and accountability, we enable trust and autonomy—leaders take accountability for decisive action, and teams own outcomes together. - We are One Recursion. True cross-functional collaboration is about trust, clarity, humility, and impact. Through sharing, we can be greater than the sum of our individual capabilities. Our values underpin the employee experience at Recursion. They are the character and personality of the company demonstrated through how we communicate, support one another, spend our time, make decisions, and celebrate collectively. Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Radar
Who we are About Stripe Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career. About the team The Radar ML team builds the machine learning systems that power Stripe’s Radar fraud and abuse product suite. Our models make real-time decisions across a significant share of internet commerce - helping businesses stop fraud, increase authorization, and grow safely. By turning economy-scale datasets into compelling ML products, the team directly improves customer outcomes and drives meaningful revenue for Stripe. The team is growing, and expanding into multiple new areas. We are building abuse protections across the full customer life-cycle, adaptive and customizable fraud systems for enterprises, and risk intelligence for 50+ global payment methods. What you’ll do You will lead the machine learning strategy for abuse prevention across the full customer lifecycle. Abuse doesn't stop at the payment. Bad actors create fake and duplicate accounts, take over legitimate ones, farm free trials and promotions, resell access they obtained below cost, use services they never intend to pay for, and file bad-faith refunds and disputes. For AI companies, every abusive account burns real compute, and the same actors keep moving from one account, product, and access path to the next. Stripe is uniquely positioned to solve this. Our network sees consumers across millions of businesses, so we can recognize a bad actor at signup, at login, at payment, and long after. Radar has already shipped the first building blocks: account evaluations at signup and login, customer-level abuse risk, and APIs that let businesses report their own abuse outcomes. You will turn these building blocks into a unified abuse prevention layer that understands the consumer behind every event and helps businesses act consistently across all of that consumer's accounts. This is a large growth opportunity for Radar, and a strategic priority for Stripe. This is a fast-moving 0→1 area, built alongside some of the world's leading AI companies, and the attacks are real today. Labels are sparse, delayed, and differ by business. Much of the customer journey is only partly visible to us. Adversaries adapt as soon as we ship. You will set the technical direction, make the hard architecture calls, and personally build the hardest pieces. Responsibilities - Set the technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for lifecycle abuse ML, with product and engineering leadership: which abuse vectors to take on, in what order, and with what approach. - Design a persistent, continuously updated consumer risk profile that combines signals from signups, logins, payments, product usage, refunds, and disputes. Evolve it from explainable composite scores toward model-driven risk scores for each type of abuse. - Lead development of models for abuse vectors such as multi-accounting, account takeover, bots, free-trial and promotion abuse, unauthorized resale, non-payment, refund abuse, and friendly fraud. Use graph, sequence, and LLM-based approaches over payment, account, and product-usage data. - Solve the label problem by designing ways to learn from sparse, delayed, merchant-specific, and weak labels, including merchant-shared feedback, LLM-assisted labeling, and network-level signals. - Define how we measure success: evaluation frameworks, impact and ROI estimates, and operating-point guidance that help businesses trade off abuse losses against growth and conversion. - Turn detection into action by shaping the risk controls, interventions, and recommendations businesses can turn on at each step of the customer journey. - Stay deeply hands-on: write substantial production code, prototype quickly, and personally land the most technically difficult components, with the reliability and latency standards of systems in Stripe's critical path. - Break ambiguous problems into parallel workstreams, unblock other engineers, and raise the team's bar through design review, code review, and mentorship. - Partner directly with leading Stripe users, fraud experts, product, and adjacent Stripe teams to ground the work in real user pain and change course quickly based on what you learn. - Build AI-native tooling, agents, and workflows that let the team investigate attacks and build and operate models dramatically faster. Who you are You are a hands-on technical leader who has built ML systems that matter, shipped them to production, and led others in doing the same. You thrive in ambiguity. You can take an open-ended problem with messy data and incomplete labels, find the highest-leverage path, get to user impact quickly, and change course when the data says so. You make the engineers around you better. You're as comfortable talking with a customer about the economics of their abuse problem as you are debugging a feature pipeline. You're excited to use frontier AI both in the systems you build and in how you build them. We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Minimum requirements - 8+ years of experience developing, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models in a production environment. - A track record of technically leading large, ambiguous ML initiatives from problem definition to production, with measurable business impact. - Deep expertise in machine learning, statistics, model evaluation, and experiment design, including where labels are noisy, delayed, or scarce. - Strong software-engineering skills, and you remain a hands-on contributor who regularly writes tested, maintainable production code. - Experience designing and operating production ML systems at scale, including data and feature pipelines, real-time inference, deployment, and monitoring, and making architecture tradeoffs across them. - Experience setting technical direction across multiple engineers or teams, and mentoring engineers to grow their scope. - Ability to explain complex tradeoffs clearly to engineers, product leaders, and customers, and to build alignment across functions. Preferred qualifications - Experience applying ML to fraud, abuse, integrity, trust and safety, identity, or security, where adversaries actively adapt to your defenses. - Experience with entity resolution, graph learning, or behavioral and sequence modeling of users, accounts, or devices (for example, detecting multi-accounting, account takeover, or bots). - Experience productionizing modern deep learning or LLM-based approaches, including using LLMs for labeling, investigation, or detection. - Experience building 0→1 ML products and working directly with customers to define what to build. - Experience building shared ML platforms, representations, or foundation models used across multiple products or teams. - Experience building AI-assisted tooling or agents that measurably increased a team's velocity.
Software Engineer, Enterprise Knowledge Platform
About the Role The Enterprise Knowledge Platform team builds the data and action layer that connects Perplexity's agents to the systems where enterprise work happens. Useful agents need more than access to APIs: they need to discover the right tools, understand an organization's data and terminology, and act reliably within its permissions. This team brings native connectors, MCP servers, and CLI-backed tools into a consistent platform, and builds the marketplace through which customers adopt integrations and partners extend the ecosystem. This is a product and platform engineering role with end-to-end ownership, from designing connector infrastructure and semantic models to shipping the experiences customers use to discover, connect, and activate integrations. You'll build the runtime that executes tool calls, the knowledge layer that makes enterprise context reusable across connectors, and the developer and marketplace foundations that help the ecosystem grow. Working with AI Research and Enterprise teams, you'll turn fragmented systems into reliable, permission-aware capabilities that agents can use to complete real work. The impact is direct: every improvement helps customers put their existing software and knowledge to work through Perplexity. Key Responsibilities - Own the connector runtime that registers, hosts, and executes native connectors, hosted MCP servers, and CLI-backed tools through a consistent agent-facing interface. - Build the semantic and knowledge layer, including tool and entity schemas, capability metadata, relationships, organization-specific terminology, and reusable corrections, while preserving provenance and source-system permissions. - Design discovery, search, and recommendation systems that help agents find relevant tools and context and help users and organizations choose integrations that fit their work. - Build the marketplace and activation experience end to end, from browsing and recommendations to installation, configuration, admin enablement, and ongoing adoption. - Make connector execution reliable and observable, with structured results, retries, idempotency, pagination, rate-limit handling, and recovery from partial failures. Own reliability targets, production monitoring, and incident response. - Implement connector authentication, credential isolation, and permission enforcement, partnering with Trust & Governance, Security, and Backend Platform on shared policies and tenant boundaries. - Build the onboarding and publishing path for internal teams and external partners, including schemas, test fixtures, validation, review, and versioning. Qualifications - 4+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of owning complex backend systems from design through production operation. - Strong system design skills, including building reliable, scalable platforms that integrate heterogeneous APIs and services with clear security and isolation boundaries. - Strong proficiency in a backend language such as Python, Go, or Rust, and hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Kubernetes. - Deep expertise in at least one of the following: - Connector runtimes, API platforms, or MCP servers, including authentication and authorization. - Schema design, semantic modeling, or knowledge systems that capture relationships and organizational context. - Search, ranking, recommendation, or tool discovery systems. - Marketplaces, developer platforms, or enterprise onboarding and activation experiences. - Ability to work across backend infrastructure and customer-facing product experiences, translating complex integration requirements into clear APIs, developer tools, and intuitive workflows. - Sound technical judgment in security-sensitive, distributed systems, balancing credential isolation, permission correctness, and failure behavior with performance, usability, and delivery speed. - A track record of leading ambiguous, cross-team initiatives from architecture through adoption, setting technical direction for shared platforms, and raising engineering quality through mentorship. If you're excited about this role, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every qualification. We value demonstrated impact, deep ownership, and the initiative to turn ambiguity into results.

Financial Data and Controls Lead, Billing Platform
About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role Anthropic is seeking a Financial Data and Controls Lead to join our Billing Platform team. Billing Platform builds the systems customers use to transact with Anthropic: subscriptions, usage billing, quote to cash, invoicing, and payments. You'll be the dedicated owner of billing accuracy, reconciliation, and financial controls across those systems, making sure the right checks run, the right controls are in place, and the audit evidence exists. Our billing systems and pricing change often, and each flow needs to meet SOX requirements. Accurate billing is what lets us launch products and pricing quickly and still close the books on time. The hard problems today include validating negotiated pricing from contract to invoice, handling the many forms of credits, app store billing, and keeping controls current while the systems under them are replaced. This is a foundational role and the first hire of its kind on the team. You'll lead a working group of the reconciliation and controls owners from each billing engineering team, and you'll set the approach they follow. You'll work closely with Finance Systems, Accounting, Internal Audit, and Data Engineering. The role sits in Engineering and works with Finance every day. Our Data organization builds the pipelines and owns the warehouse, and you'll use that data and partner with that team. We're looking for an engineer or data practitioner with strong accounting domain knowledge, who can talk to engineers about systems and to Finance and auditors about risk and materiality. Key responsibilities - Own reconciliation and accuracy checks for critical billing data (quantity, price, discounts, and invoices) across our product platform, third-party billing and payment providers, app stores, cloud marketplaces, and in-house systems - Design and run detective controls that catch billing errors before they reach the accounting books - Partner with billing engineering teams to turn repeat checks into automated verifiers - Review billing changes that have financial impact, flag the ones that touch SOX or IT application controls (ITACs), and make sure functional test evidence is in place - Make SOX review a standard, lightweight step in how billing changes ship, treated like a security review, so launches are not delayed by it - Own the end-to-end test strategy and audit evidence for those changes, working with Finance Systems, Data Engineering, Accounting, and Internal Audit - Triage billing errors, prioritize backfills and fixes with the owning teams, and track materiality over time - Define and maintain the data contracts between billing and finance systems, so downstream teams can find and trust the data they need - Lead the working group of reconciliation and controls owners across billing engineering teams, through influence and not reporting lines - Act as the Billing owner, alongside Accounting and Finance Systems, for translating the product and pricing roadmap into financial impact, test strategy, and process updates Minimum qualifications - Experience building or owning a financial ledger, billing reconciliation, or cash reconciliation system end to end, one that Accounting relied on to close the books - Hands-on SQL skills strong enough to take two messy datasets (for example usage events and invoices), match them, find the breaks, and explain the root cause - Accounting domain knowledge (order to cash, month-end close, and materiality) sufficient to tell which billing changes have financial impact - Experience working with SOX and Internal Audit teams on IT application controls, detective controls, transaction monitoring, functional test evidence, and auditor walkthroughs - Experience defining data contracts between billing or product systems and finance systems such as the ERP, general ledger, or revenue recognition - Track record of driving work across Engineering, Finance, Accounting, and Audit without direct authority - Ability to explain technical issues to Finance and auditors in their terms, and financial risk to engineers in theirs - Interest in AI and a commitment to Anthropic's mission of building safe, beneficial AI systems Preferred qualifications - Background as a backend, data, or analytics engineer who built a financial ledger or cash reconciliation system from scratch - Experience running these systems under public company reporting requirements, and scaling them as the company grew - Experience with usage-based or consumption billing - Experience with multi-party billing, such as marketplaces, or app stores - Experience turning manual checks into automated verifiers with engineering teams - Experience remediating a control deficiency, or standing up a controls program while the underlying systems were changing - A track record of using Claude or other AI tools to automate reconciliation, testing, or evidence collection, with checks that hold up to review - Experience with billing and finance tools such as Stripe, Metronome, Zuora, NetSuite, or Workday Financials - Python for data analysis or automation The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: $345,000 - $425,000 USD Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit anthropic.com/careers directly for confirmed position openings. How we're different We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences. Come work with us! Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.
